Six years ago, Pakistan’s only Christian Federal Cabinet Minister, Shahbaz Bhatti, was assassinated by militants attached to the Pakistani Taliban. Bhatti was assassinated for his outspoken campaign to secure rights and protections for religious minorities and to reform the country’s notorious blasphemy laws. Six years after his death, Pakistan has yet apprehended any suspect for Bhatti’s assassination. 
03/03/2017 Pakistan (Daily Times) – Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has paid glowing tributes to former federal minister Shaheed Shahbaz Bhatti on his 6th death anniversary observed today.
In a message on the occasion, PPP chairman said that those who killed Shahbaz Bhatti attacked our country and its quest for an egalitarian society, however, their nefarious designs would be foiled with full force and energy.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari further said that Shaheed Shahbaz Bhatti fought for a cause and remained committed to it eventually sacrificing his own life.
