Christians Erect a Cross in Celebration of Removing IS Militants from Mosul Airport
Last month, Iraqi forces reclaimed a majority of Mosul’s airport from the control of the Islamic State, otherwise known as ISIS; the victory itself was part of the wider efforts to expel ISIS militants completely from the city. As a momentum to their victory, a cross was erected and a Mass was held after two and half years of silence. The people set off fireworks and cheered, “Victory! Victory! Victory!
