74% of the World’s Population Lives in Countries with Social Hostility Towards Religion

According to the latest report by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, 74 percent of the
world’s population lives in countries with high or very high levels of government restriction and/orsocial hostility towards religion. The same report estimates that Christians were harassed in 108 countries around the globe.

ICC’s newly introduced 2016 Hall of Shame highlights 12 of these countries, shedding light not only on those who are the “worst of the worst,” but warning of nations where religious freedom is in decline.
