ICC Note:

As the Christmas holiday approaches, Christians in Pakistan are making their preparations to celebrate. Despite intense persecution and widespread discrimination, many Christian homes and churches decorate with lights, Christmas trees, and other symbols of Christmas. Because of this, Christmas is often a time when Christians are most visible in Pakistan. Pray for a safe holiday for Christians celebrating Christmas in Pakistan.

12/19/2016 Pakistan (Pakistan Today) – The Christians have started illuminating their homes and churches while Christmas shopping is in full swing all over the country.

A report aired by a private news channel, almost all the churches have been decorated with colorful lights and illuminated Christmas trees.

The Christmas tree is usually decked with different ornaments, including baubles, small bells painted in gold or silver, stars of different shapes and sizes, pinecones, apples, candies, tinsel and balloons made from glass, metal, wood and ceramic.

Christmas is one of the biggest celebrations for the people belonging to the Christian faith. With the world becoming a global village, the spirit of Christmas crosses borders and people can see how enthusiastically the festival is celebrated at different places.

“We started Christmas preparations at the end of November by organizing get-to-gathers and exchanging Christmas gifts and cards,” said Shahbaz Masih, a company employee.
