Iranian Christians left waiting over national security charges

ICC Note: Four Iranian Christians who were arrested earlier this year from a house church meeting are still waiting to see if they will be found guilty of crimes against national security. Two hearings have taken place so far and the men are expecting one more before a verdict is reached. Yousef Nadarkhani, one of the four, was arrested a few years back and just barely escaped the Iranian death penalty.

12/15/2016 Iran (Premier): Four Iranian Christians have been left waiting to see if they will be found guilty of crimes against national security.

The hearing for Yousef Nadarkhani (pictured), Yaser Mosibzadeh, Saheb Fadayee and Mohammed Reza Omidi took place on Wednesday but no verdict was given.

According to Middle East Concern, a third hearing may yet take place.

Three of the men were arrested at a house church meeting in Rasht back in May while their pastor Yousef Nadarkhani faced similar charges later.
