ICC Note:

Saudi Arabian authorities raided a Christian home in the eastern portion of Saudi Arabia, arresting 27 Lebanese Maronites for “un-Islamic prayer.” The Christians were celebrating the feast of the Assumption of Our Lady. They contend that their prayers were not offensive to Islam because the Koran honors the Virgin Mary. Lebanese Maronites are the largest Christian denomination in Saudi Arabia. Women and children were among the 27 arrested and deported.
