Suspected Fulani Attack Leaves 2 People Dead

ICC Note: A suspected group of Fulani fighters attacked the Golkofa community for a second time and killed at least 2 people. The villagers in the community are concerned with the danger they face and the lack of action on behalf of the government. The Fulani’s have carried out numerous attacks against Christians communities in the past where they have also tortured and killed several of them because of their faith.

9/10/2016, Nigeria (New Nigerian Newspaper) – Suspected herdsmen have attacked and killed two people in Golkofa community barely two weeks after Community was attacked and six people killed in their farm lands.

An eye witness confirmed the death to New Nigerian in a telephone on Thursday that two people were killed in their houses in the early hours of Thursday.

He explained that the community had earlier decried lacked of security personnel in the area to the state government, adding that they requested security personnel from the Area
