ICC note: Fulani fighters continue targeting Christians through brutal attacks in Kenya. The group of Muslim fighters invaded the Ungwar Mada village which is a Christian community and killed a married couple who were members of an evangelical church. A few days later, the extremists group also attacked Ningon village, another Christian village, where they killed two men and injured a young girl. On August 19th, the Fulani ambushed and murdered a pastor in his village, while he was returning from an evangelistic outreach. Kenya continues to be a red zone for Christian persecution in Africa since they are constantly attacked by extremist groups like the Fulanis and Al-Shabaab.

9/2/2016, Nigeria (Assist News) – As farmers lamented policies designating land for cattlemen in northern Nigeria, suspected Muslim Fulani herdsmen killed a pastor and four other Christians in Kaduna state on Friday, August 19, 2016.

“The pastor was ambushed and murdered as he was returning to his village,” he said.
