ICC Note: Rights activists are increasingly concerned by the growing influence of pro-Hindu ideology in India. Allegedly, this ideology is being spread through terror, intimidation, and violence. Activists are saying that this ideology is threatening the democracy and rule of law in India. They fear that it is influencing the education and civil code in the country in a manner that discriminates against any other religion, including Christianity. Christians in India already face a significant amount of persecution, many of them belonging to the Dalit class which is the lowest class that faces the most discrimination and persecution without protection.
