ICC Note: The Nigerian Army has reported that 77 members of Boko Haram have surrendered after the Army successfully rescued 245 captives of the terrorist group. This is a result of the Nigerian Army’s attempts to eradicate Boko Haram in the North-East of Nigeria; this is one of their greatest steps forward in doing so. Boko Haram has plagued the country for the past 7 years, kidnapping, raping, and killing hundreds of people. As a radical Islamic terrorist group, they are known for especially targeting Christians in their violence.
