Kenya reportedly plans to close refugee camps in its northeast region, home to some 600,000 displaced from Somalia, including the world’s largest refugee camp. Kenya claims residents of camps in Dabaab, Kenya near the Somali border present a terror threat, suggesting that deadly al-Shabaab attacks on Westgate Mall in 2013 and Garissa University in 2015 can be traced back to contacts in the camps.
