Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari says he’s willing to negotiate with Boko Haram for the more than 200 Chibok girls that remain captive. In April 2014, the militant Islamist terror group abducted 276 young girls from a government school in Chibok Local Government Area in northern Nigeria. Some have escaped, but most remain captive, likely having been married off to Boko Haram fighters. Buhari acknowledges that negotiations will be unlikely because of the value Boko Haram places on the Chibok girls, but is willing to bargain as long as a credible leader is established.
