Christian Convert from Islam Beaten with Cricket Bat by Muslim Neighbors in U.K.

A Pakistani Christian convert from Islam living in the U.K. was assaulted and beaten with a cricket bat by Muslim neighbors. Nissar Hussain converted to Christianity from Islam in 1996 and has been living in the U.K. with his family facing intense persecution from both their Muslim neighbors and Muslim family members. Often, the family of converts are verbally abused and have their property damaged. This time, Hussain was stalked and then viciously beaten in an attempt to drive the family of converts from the neighborhood. Pray for both the Hussains and other Christian converts from Islam who face similar persecution for choosing to convert to Christianity.
11/23/2015 United Kingdom (Christians in Pakistan) – A Pakistani who had converted to Christianity from Islam was brutally beaten by three unknown assailants.
Nissar Hussain converted to Christianity in 1996 along with his wife Kubra and brought up his five children as Christians. Despite living in the U.K., the family has and is facing severe persecution from Muslim family members and Muslim neighbors.
Although they have been facing hostility ever since they converted, a recent episode of persecution took place on November 17 when Nissar drove his car to a nearby police station. It has been his routine to park his car at the police station’s car parking area since attackers had preciously damaged his cars on several occasions.
It was about 5:00 p.m. when he left his home for the police station. However, before he reached his car, two unknown men approached him stepping out from a nearby parked car. While the third man remained in the car. When they approached Nissar, they started beating him brutally with a cricket bat.
The two attacker also started kicking him and punched him. After a while, a passerby spotted them. Seeing the passerby, the attackers left Nissar and ran to their car and fled. Meanwhile, Nissar had collapsed and fallen on the ground.
After the violent beating, Nissar sustained a fracture in kneecap, his left hand had been fractured and he had bruises all over his body. He was rushed to a hospital where he had to undergo a surgery due to the severity of his injuries.
Nissar and his family have been facing persecution for more than fifteen years, which has left the family in a state of constant trauma. They face verbal abuses from their neighbors who are bent on driving them away from the neighborhood.
