Dear Representative ( ),

I have become increasingly aware of the growing problem of persecution of Christians in Sudan. I am asking for your involvement in this important issue.

Can slavery and religious intolerance be acceptable anywhere that you can bear influence against these atrocities? The Sudanese government is waging war against twelve million of its citizens in the south of their country. Many are in refugee camps. Young boys and girls are taken from their parents and sold into slavery. Why is this being done? Because the southern Sudanese people are Christians and are being persecuted by their own government.

The United Nations is completely impotent in this matter, and are in fact aiding the assailants instead of the persecuted.

In other parts of the world, Communist and Muslim persecutors are carrying out horrendous acts against Christians. Please use your tremendous influence to protect the persecuted Christians of southern Sudan and other parts of the world. Speak out on this issue and bring the plight of these people to the attention of the great people of the United States of America.

If you are in need of further evidence of the persecution of Christians in Sudan, I recommend that you contact the office of International Christian Concern in Washington D.C. at (301) 989-1708.

Thank you for giving your full attention to this important matter.

Respectfully yours,
